Sébastien Devaud, aka Agoria, grew up in rural France. Hearing Inner City's `Good Life' at the age of 12 was the catalyst for his life in electronic music. His next revelation was witnessing Jeff Mills using three turntables and a drum machine, creating something new, rather than just playing records. Throwing parties and DJing soon led to production. Within 2 years, his 2001 track `La Onzième Marche' brought global recognition. He followed this up with a series of 12"s and the LPs `Blossom' and `The Green Armchair', working with the likes of Tricky and Neneh Cherry along the way, before soundtracking Luc Besson & Olivier Van Hoofstadt's film `Go Fast'. Agoria established his InFiné label in 2006, which has provided an outlet for Agoria's own releases, alongside artists such as Francesco Tristano, Apparat and Danton Eeprom. His third artist album `Impermanence' was released in early 2011 and heralded as his strongest LP to date. `fabric 57' is as ambitious in range and technique as Agoria's earlier contributions to the `At The Controls' and `Balance' series. Jazz greats drift almost imperceptibly into and out of house and techno heavyweights.
